CANCELLED - The journey of Hans Christian Andersen meeting Charles Dickens
OrganizerThat Theatre Company
Join us at Kulturhavn Festival when That Theater Company performs a fun-filled and child-friendly street theater - starting at Langelinje and ending at St. Alban’s Church.
The performance is the entertaining story about the meeting between Denmark's greatest fairy tale writer, H.C. Andersen, and the famous English writer, Charles Dickens.
Our fairytale begins next to The Little Mermaid, where H.C. Andersen is getting ready for his departure. Follow him and his helpers as he departs in a small rowing boat along the quay up to St. Alban’s Church, where you will meet Charles Dickens and his wife, who are interrupted in their tea party when H.C. Andersen shows up unannounced.
So put on your best walking shoes, because you are going on an adventure during an entertaining show performed in a mixture of Danish and English. Experience the two great personalities as they try to understand the different cultures, each other, and the great language barrier that divides them and causes endless misunderstandings and jokes.
